Dhole Patil College of Engineering, Dhole Patil Education Society organized the International Women’s Day Celebration 2026 on 9 March 2026 at the Physiotherapy Seminar Hall. The program was conducted to celebrate the achievements of women and to promote awareness regarding safety, empowerment, and legal rights.

The Guest Speaker, Rajlakshmi Shivankar (DCP) addressed the audience and shared valuable insights on women’s safety, cyber awareness, and legal provisions for protection against harassment and abuse.

A total of 145 participants, including students and faculty members, attended the program. The event witnessed active participation and enthusiastic engagement from the audience.

Dhole Patil Rashtriya Sangh (DPRS Club) successfully conducted the DP Faculty MUN on 10/9/2025

Under the guidance of Hon. Chairman Mr. Sagar Dhole Patil Sir, SDP’s Dhole Patil Rashtriya Sangh (DPRS) successfully conducted the DP Faculty MUN on 10th September 2025. The primary objective of the event was to create awareness about the Dhole Patil Rashtriya Sangh (DPRS) Club and the Model United Nations (MUN) activities.

The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 50 faculty members from DPCOE, DPACS, DPCOP, DPSE, and DPPSE, who actively engaged in discussions and contributed to the overall success of the event. The DPRS Club members efficiently coordinated the event and ensured smooth proceedings throughout the day.

The central theme of the MUN was “Facts and Opportunities for Education in Maharashtra vs Other States in India.”

Pune Creates History with Guinness World Record During Ganesh Festival

Pune, September 3, 2025 – In a historic and spiritually uplifting event, Pune has officially broken the previous Guinness World Record held by the Uttar Pradesh Government created on the banks of Sarayu River, Ayodhya by hosting the “Most People Performing Diya Rotations Simultaneously” with 1724 count. This remarkable achievement took place during the vibrant celebrations of the Ganesh Festival and has brought immense pride to Maharashtra.

Led by Shri Sagar Ulhas Dhole Patil, Chairman of Dhole Patil Education Society (DPES), the record-breaking event was held at the DPES campus in Kharadi, Pune. A total 1724 participants, all women, came together in devotion, simultaneously performing the Lord Ganesh Aarti with traditional diyas (oil lamps). The event saw enthusiastic participation from Indian and International students, faculty, and local devotees.

The presence of Mr. Swapnil Dangrikar, Senior Adjudicator from Guinness World Records, added to the significance of the occasion. After careful verification, the official Guinness World Record Certificate was presented to Shri Sagar Ulhas Dhole Patil, marking a proud moment for the city and DPES.

As devotees came together in a unified prayer to Lord Ganesh, the remover of obstacles, the event became a powerful symbol of global unity, spreading a message of hope, harmony, and healing.

Visit to Kenjalgad Fort, Bhor

Purpose: Enrich cultural knowledge, support learning in Indian history, architecture, and storytelling through immersive technology

Introduction & Overview:

Under the guidance of Honourable Chairman Mr. Sagar Ulhas Dhole Patil sir, on 2 August 2025, Shivdurg Darshan Samiti from Dhole Patil College of Engineering, Pune, collaborated with Sahyadri Pratishthan Bhor for fort conservation initiative at Kenjalgad. The primary goal was to assist in the rebuilding and preservation of the Kenjaldevi temple located at the summit of the fort.

Activity Summary:

The fort conservation activity began early in the morning, with all students reporting at 5:45 AM at Dhole Patil College of Engineering. From there, the team departed by bus for Kenjalgad Fort, a journey of approximately 3-4 hours. Upon reaching the site, students began their conservation work at the Kenjaldevi temple, guided by the experienced members of Sahyadri Pratishthan, Bhor. The tasks included clearing the surrounding area, lifting and transporting stones, assisting in minor repairs, and cleaning the temple surroundings. Despite the physically demanding nature of the terrain and activities, the students showed exceptional dedication and coordination. They worked in groups, supporting one another and displaying strong teamwork. Alongside practical work, they also engaged in meaningful discussions about the historical and cultural importance of forts like Kenjalgad in Maharashtra’s heritage. A wholesome and traditional meal was graciously provided by Sahyadri Pratishthan, strengthening the sense of unity between the students and the host organization. On the return journey, the group also visited the Samadhi of Kanhoji Jedhe, a respected Maratha warrior and historical figure. This visit added a rich educational and cultural element to the day’s experience. The group returned to the college campus by 7:30 PM, completing a long but fulfilling day. The initiative was a remarkable blend of service, learning, and cultural engagement, leaving the students with a deeper appreciation for history, conservation, and community involvement

The Training & Placement Cell of Dhole Patil College of Engineering, Pune organized an Industry Interaction Session on 08 August 2025 at the Physiotherapy Seminar Hall. The session was delivered by Mr. Hrishikesh Jayant Dhande, Former Regional Head – Academic Alliances Group, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), who shared his valuable insights on the topic “Bridging Academia and Industry: Preparing Engineers for Tomorrow.”

The objective of the session was to enlighten students about the evolving needs of the industry, the gap between academic learning and industrial requirements, and strategies to enhance employability. Mr. Dhande emphasized the importance of developing core technical skills, problem-solving abilities, communication skills, adaptability, and continuous learning to remain competitive in the dynamic job market.

He highlighted how Industry 4.0 and the transition to Industry 5.0 are transforming the engineering landscape, and stressed the need for students to be proficient in emerging technologies, interdisciplinary knowledge, and collaborative project work. The session also covered real-life industry expectations, placement readiness tips, and the significance of internships, certifications, and networking in shaping a successful career.

The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students actively engaged with the speaker and clarified their doubts regarding career opportunities, recruitment processes, and skill enhancement.

The event was attended by faculty members, Heads of Departments, and students from all engineering branches, making it a highly engaging and fruitful interaction.

The Training & Placement Officer expressed gratitude to Mr. Dhande for his valuable time and insights, and to all participants for making the session a success.

The Training & Placement Cell of Dhole Patil College of Engineering, Pune successfully organized a Workshop on International Skilling Program on Tuesday, 29 July 2025 at the college seminar hall. The event was conducted in collaboration with Viswin Global and aimed to inform and inspire students about global learning opportunities, industry immersion programs, and international collaborations.

The session featured two distinguished speakers:

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the Training & Placement Officer, appreciating the speakers for their insightful presentations and encouraging students to explore such transformative learning opportunities.

Dhole Patil College of Engineering (DPCOE), Pune, had the esteemed honor of welcoming Shri B.R. Shankaranand Ji, Akhil Bharatiya Sangathan Mantri, Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, for an enlightening session on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS).

The event began with a traditional Ganesh Aarti, followed by a brief introduction to DPCOE’s vision and achievements by students. A multimedia showcase celebrated the college’s academic, co-curricular, and extra-curricular highlights.

Students from various technical clubs exhibited innovations in Drone Technology, Robotics, Space Communication (Antariskha Club), and Automotive Design (Team Screwdriver). Their outreach to mentor school students reflected DPCOE’s strong community engagement.

A felicitation ceremony honored students excelling in academics, cybersecurity, sports, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

During the interactive session, Shri Shankaranand Ji answered insightful questions from students and faculty on NEP implementation, IKS integration, curriculum reforms, teacher development, and promotion of Indian languages. His guidance reinforced the importance of value-based education and India’s vision of becoming a Vishwaguru (Global Knowledge Leader).

The session was deeply appreciated by students, who found it inspiring and transformative. The event concluded with actionable recommendations, including curriculum enrichment, faculty training, and outreach initiatives.
