• 1. Why take admission in Dhole Patil College of Engineering?

  Ans – DPCOE is one of Pune’s leading engineering and management colleges with a focus on the overall growth and skill development of students. We are accredited with A+ grade by NAAC and also ISO 9001-2015 certified. We have a young and dynamic management that understands the aspirations of the youth, along with state-of-the-art laboratories and workshops with experienced trainers that help our students achieve the highest levels of technical skills.

  Ans – The college is affiliated to the University of Pune (Savitribai Phule Pune University), DTE-Maharashtra and AICTE, New Delhi.

• 3. What is the course duration?

  Ans – We offer three degrees:

  Bachelors in Engineering which is a four year full time course
  Masters in Engineering which is a two year full time course
  Masters in Business Administration which is a two year full time course

• 4. How is the college ranked among other engineering colleges?

  Ans – We are among the top 10 engineering colleges in Pune. According to TOI Ranking 2019, we are ranked 54th all over India in private colleges. However, as far as placements are concerned, we have been rewarded with the best quality and highest number of placements in Eastern Pune.

• 5. What is the semester pattern?

  Ans – There are two semesters in a year, that is, a total of eight semesters for 12th pass students, and six semesters for diploma holders.

• 6. How do we make a fee payment?

  Ans – You can submit a demand draft or cheque for Academic Fee in favour of “Dhole Patil College Of Engineering” or bring the cash amount which we can help you convert into a demand draft at our office, Online UPI options are also available . For Hostel Fee, you can submit a demand draft , cheque or UPI Payment in favour of “Dhole Patil Education Society”.

• 7. What degree will you provide on passing out?

  Ans – The degree provided after successful completion of the course is a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University. 

• 8. What is the difference in the B.E. and B.Tech courses?

  Ans – Usually, colleges under any University provide a B.E degree, and deemed or autonomous colleges provide a B.Tech degree.

• 9. Is this a private or government college?

  Ans – We are a private college, approved by AICTE New Delhi and Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. We are affiliated to University of Pune (Savitribai Phule Pune University).

  Ans – The closest landmarks are Eon-IT Park, World Trade Centre Kharadi, and Barclays- Pune’s largest and most popular IT hubs.

• 12. What are the fees at DPCOE?

  Ans – As per Maharashtra Shiksha Shulk Samiti, our interim fee is Rs. 95,000/- per annum. Fees Structure is available in admission section 

• 13. What are the fees for the hostel and mess?

  Ans – Hostel and mess charges are Rs. 95000/- per annum, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and tea.

• 14. Do you have a food court in the college campus?

  Ans – Yes, we have a food court in our campus which has a cafeteria.

• 15. What specializations do you provide in B.E.?

  Ans – At the under-graduate, Bachelor’s course, we offer the following specializations:

  • B.E. in Computer Engineering

• 16. Do you have security and medical facilities in the college and hostel?

  Ans – Yes, the hostel and college areas are under CCTV coverage with round-the-clock security guards. For medical emergencies, the college has tie–ups with Ruby Hall Clinic, one of Pune’s leading hospitals. We also have student health insurance schemes which are optional.

• 17. What type of food is provided in the hostel?

  Ans – We provide nutritious and healthy meals at our cafeteria that includes mostly vegetarian meals that include two vegetables, salad, pickle, daal, rice and rotis. Non-vegetarian meals are available on request. The meal quantity is unlimited, and students can eat their fill.

• 18. Do you have separate girls and boys hostels?

  Ans – Yes

• 19. Which are the best companies for placements?

  Ans – Mphasis, WNS, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, IBM, Markets & Markets, Vodafone, Barclays, Searce, Sears Holdings, All Scripts, Persistent, Neosoft Technology, Vopak Technologies, NTT Data, TCS are some of the best companies for campus placements.

• 20. Do you have an internship program?

  Ans – Yes. Many of our students are currently doing internship from various platform . College stood 4th Rank all over india on Internshala Portal 

• 21. Are the students trained to be placed in big MNCs?

  Ans – Yes. We train our students in soft skills to appear for aptitude tests and GD-PIs through a corporate training division tie-up from their first year itself.

• 22. What is the per room intake of the hostel?

  Ans – The hostel has triple occupancy rooms with an attached bathroom and WiFi connectivity. On demand, double occupancy rooms can be provided with extra charges.

• 23. How qualified is the faculty?

  Ans – Our faculty members have a post-graduate degree and hands-on experience of average seven years. Many of our faculty members are currently pursuing their PhD degrees as well.

• 24. What are the eligibility criteria for placements?

  Ans – For leading companies, they look for 60% and above.

  For other companies, it is 55% and above

  For mid-scale industries it is a minimum of 50%

• 26. What sports facilities do you provide?

  Ans – We have all types of outdoor and indoor game facilities like a cricket ground, football ground, basketball ground, fully equipped gymnasium, table tennis, and many more sports facilities.

• 27. How far is the college from the Pune station and airport?

  Ans – From Pune station, we are about 13 kilometres and from the airport, 5 kilometres. The college is well connected to the city by road and long distance bus services. Public Transport Facility is also available from Pune Station PMPML Bus No. 163 to DPCoE.

• 28. Does the college have any accommodation for parents during admissions?

  Ans – Yes, we do provide a one night stay to parents in the college hostel

• 29. What are the college hours?

  Ans – College hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
