The Dhole Patil College of Engineering (DPCoE) Central Library spans a spacious 700 sqm area, providing a well-structured and resourceful environment for students and faculty. The library is divided into multiple sections, including book stacking, periodicals, reference materials, and a digital library equipped with 10 computer nodes for research and online learning. Additionally, the well-ventilated reading hall accommodates 135+ students, ensuring a comfortable and quiet space for study.
All books in the library are classified according to the Dewey Decimal Classification System, making it easy for users to locate academic resources efficiently. The book transaction process is fully automated, managed through a computerized barcode system using Autolib software, which enhances accessibility and accuracy. Moreover, the library offers an Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) search facility, allowing students to quickly find books and reference materials within the library premises.
The library operates from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring ample access to resources. The reading hall remains open for up to 24 hours, catering to their academic needs. With its modern infrastructure, advanced digital resources, and student-friendly services, the DPCoE Central Library serves as a crucial pillar in the institution’s commitment to academic excellence.
Library Computerization:
Library is using ‘Auto Lib Library Management Software’ so called ‘AutoLib’. Data Entry and Barcode work is being completed. Library circulation and routine work is done fully with the help of Library Management Software.

Library Rules
- The entire library is primarily intended for the students & staff of this college.
- All students are expected to maintain silence in the library.
- Personal belongings are not allowed in the stack room, reference section, & digital library.
- Eatables are not allowed inside the library.
- Students are not permitted to sit in the library during their lectures & practical hours.
- The following things are not permitted: folding the corners of pages, marking, underlining, or highlighting the content or text matter, tearing out the pages, or writing with pen or pencil on pages.
- One library card will enable the student to borrow four books at a time. And he/she will be responsible for the books borrowed on his/her card.
- Books are issued to library cardholders along with their library cards only & not through anybody else.
- Ensure you get issued the books on the same day for which you have placed the demand slip. Otherwise, the same books will be issued to the next student.
- A book/books is issued for one week. The book(s) may be reissued for another week through a renewal request before the & return due date & if there is no demand from another student for the same book.
- If a student fails to return a book/books on the return date, he/she will be liable for a fine of Rs. 1/- per day per book.
- Current issues of journals/magazines will not be issued to students for tacking outside the library. However, the back issues of certain journals/magazines may be issued for 2 days.
- If a book is lost by the borrower or damaged to be unserviceable for future use, the cost of the book or the same copy of the book is recovered from the borrower.
- Certain valuable/rare books/reference books will not be issued outside the library. However, such books will be issued to refer to in the library/reading hall only during library working hours.
- Loss of a library card should be intimated to the librarian immediately in writing by mentioning their previous card details. Duplicate cards will be issued at the cost of Rs. 100/- after verification.

- Library Orientation: Sessions to familiarize students with library resources and facilities.
- Question Bank, Syllabus and other Study Material: Availability of previous years’ question papers and study material.
- Open Access Resources: Availability of AICTE e-kumbh, e-shodhsindhu, shodhganga and other resources.
- Bar coded Circulation (Issue – Return) Fully computerized bar coded circulation service is available with SMS facility.
