The Entrepreneurship Development Cell of DPCOE was established in 2012 with the vision of achieving the perfect union of technical proficiency, leadership and managerial skills to universal citizens and inventions in the path of entrepreneurship.
Dhole Patil College of Engineering is contributing for the mission- Start Up India by promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship among students through education, research and various training sessions.
The entrepreneurship is a key element in the industrial development and economic growth of the nation. The entrepreneurship awareness can be enhanced among the students by means of Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps (EAC) and Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDP) with the coordination of successful entrepreneurs resulting to socio-economic development of nation.
To foster start-up culture a MoU is signed in the year 2024 between Dhole Patil College of Engineering (DPCOE) and BHAU Institute of COEP to establish collaboration between DPCOE-EDC and BHAU Institute for promoting entrepreneurship, innovation, incubation support, skill development, and industry-academia interaction among students and faculty members.
Vision
We aim to be a renowned center for entrepreneurship development programs, “To create a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem that nurtures innovation, leadership, and startup culture among students, enabling them to become successful entrepreneurs and job creators.”
Activities
- Conducting an Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp each semester.
- Arranging suitable interactions with successful entrepreneurs through guest lectures, seminars, one to one interactions every three months.
- Conducting specific skill development programs on Entrepreneurship.
- To coordinate with the Women Empowerment Cell of the Institution in promoting Women Entrepreneurship.
- To organize an international conference on Entrepreneurship Development, thereby laying a platform for budding entrepreneurs of each academic year

“Two Days SPPU Start-up Bootcamp – 6th & 7th February 2026”
Under the esteemed guidance of Hon. Chairman Shri. Sagar Dhole Patil Sir, Respected Principal Dr. Abhijit Dandavate Sir, The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Dhole Patil College of Engineering, Pune organized a “Two Days SPPU Start-up Bootcamp – 2026” in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University’s (SPPU) Centre of Innovation, Incubation and Enterprise (CIIE) & Wadhwani Foundation.

Overview of two days Program:
The introductory session was delivered by Dr. Devidas Golhar, Director, SPPU – Innovation, Incubation & Linkages, who shared his valuable insights on the topic “SPPU Start-up Bootcamp-2026”
The Hon. Secretary DPES Mrs. Uma Sagar Dhole Patil addressed the students about the significance of the Start-up Boot Camp, emphasizing the importance of innovation, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance in today’s competitive world. She encouraged students to actively participate in the sessions to gain practical knowledge about idea generation, business model development, funding opportunities, and pitching strategies.
At the SPPU Start-up Bootcamp, experts delivered insightful sessions, highlighting practical strategies, emerging trends, and real-world startup challenges to empower young innovators.
The two days start-up Bootcamp concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students actively engaged with the Resource Persons and clarified their doubts regarding start-up Ventures.
The event was attended by Registered Participants from Dhole Patil College of Engineering & Christ College Pune, making it a highly engaging and fruitful interaction.
The Principal Dr. Abhijit Dandavate DPCOE expressed gratitude to Dr. Devidas Golhar, Director, SPPU – Innovation, Incubation & Linkages, Dr. Amar Yedake & Dr. Dnyaneshwar Bandgar for their valuable time and insights, and to all participants for making the session a success.
