Dhole Patil College of Engineering has organized industrial visit at “TIAA” on 28^th March 2024.

TIAA Global Capabilities delivers high-quality global technology, operations and shared services to TIAA’s businesses and associates. TIAA Global Capabilities’ associates work closely with colleagues in the U.S. and around the world to meet the needs of its ever-growing client base. Since its inception seven years ago, they have played a vital role within the broader organization and have delivered exceptional performance with highest level of operational excellence.

Industrial Expert has given tips of cracking an interview that contains interview skills and few important key points to improve the professional personality. He guided students about the followings:

1. How to make an impressive resume/c.v.?
2. Things to be added or eliminated in one’s resume.
3. Dos & Don’ts in an interview.
4. How to project oneself before the interviewer?
5. Discussion on frequently asked questions in the interview.

This industrial visit was informative, interesting and successful that added a lot of corporate and interview knowledge for our students.

The overall Management of the industrial visit was done by Prof. Sneha Deshmukh and Prof. Namdeo Kedare under the guidance of Dr. Abhijeet  Dandavate.

2.    To educate participants about the various asanas (postures) and their benefits.
3.    To encourage a healthy and balanced lifestyle among the college community.
 Program Schedule

9:00 AM – 9:15 AM: Inauguration Ceremony

o    Welcome Speech by the Head of the Department

o    Introduction to International Yoga Day and its significance

·9:15 AM – 10 AM: Yoga Session

o    Guided yoga session by Dr Aarti Dandavate

o    Demonstration and practice of various yoga postures including Asanas , Pranayama, and Meditation

Event Highlights

1.    Inauguration Ceremony: The event commenced with a warm welcome speech by the Head of the Computer Engineering Department, who emphasized the importance of integrating yoga into our daily routines to combat the stress and sedentary lifestyle often associated with the tech industry.

2.    Yoga Session: The yoga session, led by a professional instructor, was the highlight of the event. Participants enthusiastically engaged in performing various yoga postures, learning about the correct techniques and the benefits of each asana. The instructor also led a guided meditation session, which helped participants experience a sense of calm and relaxation.

3.    Interactive Session: Following the yoga session, an interactive segment allowed participants to ask questions and share their experiences. The instructor provided valuable insights into how regular yoga practice can enhance physical fitness and mental clarity, particularly beneficial for students and professionals in the field of computer engineering.

4.    Closing Ceremony: The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the event coordinator, expressing gratitude to the participants. Verbal token of appreciation for the attendees’ enthusiasm and commitment is presented.

Feedback and Outcomes

The International Yoga Day event received positive feedback from faculty members. Participants reported feeling rejuvenated and motivated to incorporate yoga into their daily lives. The event successfully achieved its objectives, promoting the significance of a healthy lifestyle and the holistic benefits of yoga.

Conclusion

The International Yoga Day celebration at Dhole Patil College of Engineering, Pune, was a resounding success. The Computer Engineering department’s initiative to host this event underscored the importance of well-being and provided the college community with practical tools to enhance their physical and mental health. Event Name : Peer Learning Report: Introduction to Node.js by

Introduction:

The following report outlines the peer learning session conducted by Mr. Amar Pakhare, a third-year engineering student, on the topic of Node.js. The session covered the fundamentals of Node.js, its applications, installation procedures, and included a demonstration to solidify understanding among participants.

Objective:

The primary objective of the peer learning session was to introduce participants to Node.js, a popular JavaScript runtime environment, and provide them with the necessary knowledge and skills to begin working with it effectively.

Content Covered:

Discussion   on various real-world applications of Node.js, such as web servers, APIs, real-time applications, and micro services. Highlighting its usage in popular frameworks like Express.js.

Installation Procedures:

Step-by-step  guide on how to install Node.js on different operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).

Brief  overview of package managers like npm (Node Package Manager) and yarn.

Demonstration:

1. Practical demonstration of setting up a basic Node.js server.

2. Showcase of creating routes, handling requests, and serving static files using Express.js.

3. Deployment of a simple application to a local server for participants to interact with.

Session Execution:

The seminar emphasized the importance of clearly defining and understanding these outcomes to ensure the effectiveness of academic programs. COs represent the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities that students should acquire upon completion of a course. POs define the broader educational goals of a program, while PSOs are tailored to the unique characteristics and objectives of a particular program.
