3D Printing Awareness Session
• Date: 10th September 2025
• Time: 12:15 PM
• Venue: E&TC Department
• Participants: SE & TE Students of E&TC, Automobile, and Mechanical Engineering
Under the visionary guidance of Hon. Chairman Shri Sagar Dhole Patil Sir and respected Principal Dr. Abhijit Dandavate Sir, the Graphics Design Club of Dhole Patil College of Engineering successfully organized a “3D Printing Awareness Session” on 10th September 2025 at 12:15 PM in the E&TC Department for SE and TE students of E&TC, Automobile, and Mechanical Engineering.
The session aimed to create awareness about the transformative potential of 3D printing technology and inspire students to explore innovation-driven learning in engineering and design. The program commenced with an informative introduction to the fundamentals, working principles, and latest advancements in 3D printing technology. Students were introduced to the diverse applications of additive manufacturing in industries such as automobile, electronics, aerospace, biomedical, and manufacturing sectors.
The interactive session encouraged active student participation through discussions, idea exchange, and query-solving related to academic projects, research opportunities, and industrial applications of 3D printing. Students also received practical exposure to the working of 3D printers, which helped them gain a deeper understanding of rapid prototyping and product development processes.
The awareness session proved highly beneficial in motivating students towards creativity, innovation, and design-thinking approaches for academic projects and startup ideas. It also highlighted various career opportunities, research domains, and entrepreneurial prospects in the field of additive manufacturing. Furthermore, the event promoted multidisciplinary collaboration among students by integrating concepts from electronics, mechanics, and design engineering.
Overall, the “3D Printing Awareness Session” emerged as an insightful and inspiring initiative that successfully fostered awareness about emerging technologies and strengthened the culture of innovation and prototyping among students of the E&TC Department.
